Running AI Focus Groups

Three ways runs are started

Focus groups can be started on their own from your workspace, or automatically as part of a GEO pipeline. The full comparison (manual setup vs GEO-driven blind study, and how votes flow back into GEO) is documented on the Focus Groups overview page.

  1. Manual / single run: you configure the brief, number of rounds, number of personas, and attributes such as age and gender—best for iterating on an idea and how it is perceived.
  2. Automatic run linked to GEO: the system derives weak spots from your GEO results, builds the moderator task and session parameters from that analysis, runs a competitor-only blind panel, and records brand-choice votes.
  3. After a GEO-linked run, voting and related outputs are merged back into the GEO report so AI visibility and buyer-style preference line up in one place.

Open Focus Groups from your dashboard, complete purchase or token checks as required, then track progress. Results include overview metrics, discussion, insights, competitor choice, risks, and transcript.
