Let me start off by saying I absolutely wanted to love this camera. Coming from a Blink doorbell, I wanted something that provided better performance and didn’t run on batteries. I should also note I have a high speed mesh WiFi system and my doorbell is approximately 30 feet from a router and has full bars through several brands. Installation was a breeze and after setup in the app, my doorbell worked great…. For about 3 days. After not receiving any package alerts, I check the app to find my camera is offline. I go check the camera and see it is no longer connecting to the internet. I reprogram the camera and it works great until guess what, 3 days later it is offline. I start an exchange and get a new camera. Setup for camera #2 was great however every 2-3 days, it would go offline and need to be reprogrammed. I contacted Eufy who instructed me, the week before Christmas, to send the doorbell to them for analysis before they ship a new one out. I reinstalled my Blink in order to prevent package thefts and sent my doorbell directly to Eufy. I also let them know how ridiculous it was that I had to be without a doorbell while they “evaluated” the one I had. 4 days after sending my doorbell to Eufy, a customer service rep reached out telling me to not send the doorbell yet as they would instead send me a replacement first 🤦🏻 Fast forward 3 days and I have doorbell number #3. After issues getting it connected to the app, it finally gets connected. One day later my camera is offline. I quickly returned the camera and got my money back. Buyer beware on this doorbell! With this experience I went running to another brand and have had amazing results. I was going into this process looking to switch my system over to Eufy but will absolutely look elsewhere.
Loved the price and the fact that there is no monthly fees. I had a Ring previously and after 6 months this monitor paid for itself. Love that there is a rechargeable battery if the doorbell wiring is not keeping up. One minor thing is that the doorbell in the hoiluae does not connect even though I have it wired to the eufy monitor and I have to use the plug-in doorbell chime. Seems so simple to do. I mean Ring has been doing to for over 5 years
Pros- I’ve been with the Eufy ecosystem for years and have many other cameras/ sensors by them. Love that this doorbell was easily added to our “home” within the app. Works great and has multiple setting options including degrees of AI detection. Cons- There is no reason that any “WIRED” option doorbell does not have 24/7 recording ability in 2024. I love Eufy and suggest their products to others, but my old Eufy doorbell had 24/7 recording but even it was a BestBuy exclusive version that not many people even knew existed. When it finally died, I was not thrilled about “upgrading” simply due to losing this feature. Yes the AI detection is better on the new one, but there are still rare occasions where things happen within the cameras view but it doesn’t always trigger an event or doesn’t record the entire event. 24/7 recording makes it possible to scan the entire day to investigate these events. Eufy does listen to their customers more than any company I’ve seen, so EVERYONE should be pushing them for a wired 24/7 recording doorbell option.

I was able to share my account with my spouse, and the dual camera allows me to see packages at my door. If you are debating between this camera and another brand, note that this one comes with a chime, something I had to purchase separately with the other camera.
Eufy doorbell, security camera is working well. It does a good job of identifying humans and packages. I purchased this version because I wanted local storage and hardwired. I was able to retrofit my 20 year-old Nutone doorbell and speaker. I cut expanded PVC board to size and reused old wiring. I doubled up 4 thin wire cable into two pairs and installed 30 vac transformer.
