Having a reliable doorbell system that is easy to install and loud enough for all occupants of a home is essential in today’s fast-paced life. The SECRUI Wireless Doorbell offers exactly that and more. With its expansive 1000ft coverage, waterproof push button, and double-plug-in receivers, this doorbell is packed with essential features to meet the demands of diverse settings.

Introduction to the SECRUI Wireless Doorbell

The SECRUI Wireless Doorbell is a powerhouse of functionality and convenience, essential for anyone looking to upgrade or replace their current doorbell system without the hassle of dealing with complicated installations or wiring. With 52 chime options and adjustable volumes ranging from 0 to 110 dB, there's a melody for everyone. The device’s compact design belies its robust capabilities, including IP65 waterproofing, ensuring durability through various weather conditions.

Additionally, the doorbell offers seamless scalability—allowing the addition of more receivers or buttons—and adapts perfectly to multiple settings, whether it's a house, apartment, or even an office environment. Plus, with a pleasant LED flash feature, you'll never miss a visitor. Let's delve deeper into what makes this product a popular choice amongst its users.

Pros and Cons of the SECRUI Wireless Doorbell

Quality and Aesthetic Appeal

One of the first things you’ll notice about the SECRUI doorbell system is its modern aesthetics. User John T., who states his primary motivation for purchase was in response to his parents' doorbell breaking, was quite impressed with how its friendly design fits seamlessly into their home’s decor. He highlights, "The aesthetic of the SECRUI doorbell is sleek and unobtrusive, fitting well with the overall decor." Additionally, after numerous rainstorms, the doorbell has maintained its operational efficiency, indicating its robustness. Such features make it a worthy upgrade for anyone prioritizing aesthetics along with performance.

Usability and Setup

Installation is typically the Achilles' heel of many home improvement devices, but not for this wireless wonder. Thanks to its tool-free setup with adhesive or screw mounting options, the SECRUI doorbell can be installed in minutes. A happy user noted, "Installation was a breeze—plug in the adapter, stick the transmitter, bada bing bada boom!" The system comes pre-paired from the factory, easing the process for those who may not be tech-savvy. Its loud, adjustable volume is also a massive plus. Users aged 80 have commended its audibility in large homes.

Another review reflected, "I just needed to plug it in, and it works. It’s loud enough and resembles the sound of a traditional doorbell." This succinctly captures the ease and efficiency of setting this device up. However, upon diving into customer feedback, one downside appears to be the complex battery switch process for the transmitter, which involves the removal of its casing with a screwdriver—a meticulous task that could damage clips if not done carefully.

Feature Variety and Functionality

The SECRUI doorbell features 52 ringtones, an aspect applauded by many users. For instance, Angela F. mentions, "The diversity of chimes makes it easy to find a pleasant and audible sound fitting all our moods." Moreover, every setting is easily remembered, thanks to its smart memory function, ensuring that preferences are not lost even after a power outage.

Despite these positives, some users find that the lack of a backlit option for the button at night could pose challenges, but this is relatively minor compared to the overall benefits provided by the system. For example, a minor yet practical hurdle was identified by a user who had to create a sign to enhance the visibility of the black doorbell against a black door trim.

Conclusion

In summary, the SECRUI Wireless Doorbell presents a marriage of functionality, innovative features, and user-centric design, making it a formidable choice for those seeking convenience without aesthetic compromise. Its ability to withstand weather conditions, extensive sound range, and easy setup process receive continuous praise from users. However, the consideration needed for battery changes and night-time visibility highlight areas with room for slight enhancements.

Ultimately, users continually applaud its affordability combined with high-quality performance. As one user put it after seven months of testing, "The SECRUI has exceeded expectations in terms of design, setup, and functionality, especially considering its wallet-friendly price point." Whether you are updating your doorbell or installing a new system, the SECRUI Wireless Doorbell is sufficiently versatile and dependable to meet most home or office needs. The product’s only area for improvement lies in slightly enhancing user experience during setup alterations, but its current form does its intended job exceptionally well.

Works well, easy plug and stick, bada bing bada boom, you got a doorbell!!! When people knock on nextdoor I would think it was mine, not anymore. Also im in A apartment... The sound is very digital, nothing like the old school like My Moms house.

It works very well and can be turned up quite loudly for the hard-of-hearing

excellent. very easy to install. worth all I paid for them. My mother can now hear the door bell.

Recommend: Yes Would I buy again? Update 7 months later after several rainstorms .... Yes based solely on aesthetics, setup, and functionality. After seven months and several rainstorms, a few going days at a time, the outside bell is still going strong. I will update on longevity over the next year. Will update the missing star if it makes it through two seasons ... How it works: The doorbell is a wireless transmitter that runs off a CR2032 battery. (I forgot to mention this in my first posting but I switched out the battery that came with the unit with a fresh Duracell - this ensures longer performance.) The doorbell can be affixed with the supplied adhesive and/or the two supplied wood screws. The receiver must be plugged into an AC outlet. The manufacturer says up to 1,000 feet line of sight. I found +/- 300 feet with obstructions is more like it. When the doorbell is pressed, the button lights up blue for a few seconds and then goes dark. The doorbell is not backlit, which I imagine is to conserve battery life. The receiver has a variety of ring tones and volumes to choose from. The transmitter has a gasket that produces a snug seal. The unit has an IP55 rating. So what is an IP55 rating? The first number is the dust protection rating and the second number is the water entry rating. The highest dust rating is 6 and the highest for water is 8. A “5” dust rating means the doorbell transmitter allows a limited amount of dust and any incoming dust should have limited effects on its functionality. A “5” water rating means it should protect against sprinklers and intermittent rain. This unit is not rated for complete submersion in water, and is not rated for frequent jets of water or prolonged contact with water. Kudos. Setup could not have been easier. The transmitters and receiver were paired up at the factory. Adjusting the volume and type of chime on the receiver is simple and intuitive. The box includes two doorbell transmitters. You can use both at once or use a single one keeping the other as a replacement when the first takes a dump (which I imagine will be after our next major multi-day rain storm). I am pleasantly surprised (shocked actually) as to the range of the transmitter. My units are about 300’ apart with two walls in between. After seven months and several rainstorms, a few going days at a time, the outside bell unit is still going strong. Pleasantly surprised. Quibbles. If you wish to affix the doorbell transmitter using the wood screws or to change its battery, you will have to remove the transmitter’s back. The back is held to the case with two tension clips. There’s a recessed area to place a flat head screwdriver; the back pops off with a gentle twist of the screwdriver. When I opened the back, I noticed part of the clip securing the back and front got damaged. Fortunately I was able to get the unit back together and seal properly, but this suggests the next opening (e.g., battery change) may shear the clip entirely. That sucks. Next, you will need to drill holes into the back of the unit for where the screws will go through. Making your own tap holes for screws can be tricky for the non-handy types – make the holes too big on the doorbell case and it’s a portal of water entry! If you don’t own a drill, you might be able to screw directly through the plastic casing though it’s pretty brittle so you might risk cracking the back. Using a drill may be a deal killer for the non-handy types. And finally, the doorbell is not backlit which is good for battery life but a challenge for nighttime visitors to find the (black) doorbell. Suggestions. I recommend applying a thin film of silicone grease (e.g., DANCO Waterproof Food Grade Silicone Grease for O-Rings) around the gasket. This will enhance its IP55 rating. Next, if you use screws, add a thin layer of silicone calking (e.g., Gorilla 100 Percent Silicone Sealant Caulk, 2.8 ounce Squeeze Tube, Clear) on each screw and over the heads to prevent water from entering through where the screws meet wood or concrete. Bottom line: I’m pleased with the aesthetics, setup and functionality, especially given this unit's relatively low price point. Update: After seven months and several rainstorms, a few going days at a time, the outside bell is still going strong. No conflict of interest. I purchased this product for its intended use. My review reflects my personal experience with this product. I have no affiliation with the seller or the manufacturer. I have not received any compensation whatsoever (cash, discount, rebate, merchandise, etc.) for this review.

Easy installation works great

I bought this for my parents whose doorbell had died. I did not want to get exact doorbell as what they had because it could have confused them and they could have mixed up pieces. I got them this one and they love it. I love it. Easy to set up and loud enough for two people in their 80's to hear. Has two receivers so one in living room/kitchen area and one in laundry/bedroom. It was easy to install and put the ringtone they wanted. I would buy this again.

I didn’t work on any special stuff like different sounds or volume. I just plugged it in and it works. It’s loud enough, it sounds like a doorbell. The only mistake I made was buying a black one that I mounted on black door trim so I had to make a small sign with an arrow and text saying “doorbell”. Works great
